I couldn't find a title more apt than "On My Own" for this debut album. After scoring a No. 1 hit with "My Special Angel" in 1998 on the local radio charts, recording a full album has always been a quiet dream for me. Knocking from door to door, cold-selling, and getting a recording contract didn't proof to be the easiest stunt to pull off over here in Singapore. Reality can be harsh and crippling to one's dreams and hopes, but I decided it could be otherwise. I told myself that I could make it happen. On my own. This 13-track full album is a dream come true. And I yearn to share these songs of love, hopes and dreams with you. I cannot read music notes and have never been musically trained. I only know three chords on the guitar to be exact. If I need a different chord, I just keep trying till I get it. I don't know what I'm playing half the time. However, these tunes and words come to me and I am able to keep them in my head for ages.
